Former Orlando Pirates star is set to join Mamelodi Sundowns after parting ways with another Premier Soccer League club.

Having just recently announced his departure from Cape Town City FC after the club was relegated from the top division of South African football, Mark Mayambela is on the verge of joining Sundowns as per Idiski Times.
The former Chippa United was seen in Sundowns’ development matches in the Gauteng Development League recently, as he is poised to join the club’s development ranks.
Having worked at City, where he was part of producing top talents like Emile Witbooi and other top young talents in the Cape, he is expected to do the same at Chloorkop.
Sundowns has recently put more resources in their development since Sporting Director Flemming Berg joined the club back in 2022.
Just less than five months into his role, Berg oversaw a major overhaul in the development structures that saw more than young 20 players leave the club and more than 20 come in.
His strategy seemed to have worked, as Sundowns currently have four players from development with the first team.
So, the imminent arrival of Mayambela will be to continue the work that Berg and the development structure have already started.
