Lucas Ribeiro Costa sends a message of gratitude to Mamelodi Sundowns faithful after a successful 2024-2025 season that ended with four PSL awards.

Ribeiro was awarded for a fantastic 2024-2025 season this past Tuesday night during the 2025 Premier Soccer League Awards show where he walked away with four awards.
The Brazilian won the Betway Premiership Goal of the Season, Betway Premiership Top Goalscorer, PSL Players’ Player of the Season, and PSL Footballer of the Season awards to cap off what has been a brilliant season for the player.
Nearly two days later, after winning the awards, the 26-year-old has penned an emotional message thanking Sundowns players, coaching staff, and fans for their support.
He took to his Instagram account to share the message of gratitude in his native language of Portuguese, which translates to the following in English.
“I want to thank my teammates. Without you, none of this would (be) possible. I love my team,” Ribeiro states.
“Thanks to all coaches for always pushing me to the highest level. Thanks, Mamelodi Sundowns, for everything.
“Thanks to all players and coaches who voted for me, I am very grateful for your affection and respect for me.
“And thanks to my fans for their support, affection, for everything. The love you guys have for me, I have triple for you. It’s something that will stay in my heart forever Masandawana.”
Meanwhile, Ribeiro returned to training despite being heavily linked with a move away from Chloorkop.
One of the biggest clubs in his home country, Fluminense, is among the clubs he is linked with.
