A coach leaves Kaizer Chiefs after the conclusion of the 2025-2026 pre-season camp in the Netherlands.

After an average first season at the club, Nasreddine Nabi went to the Netherlands for pre-season without one of his coaching staff members.
Chiefs’ Strength and Conditioning coach, Majdi Saif, was not part of the coaching staff that travelled to Europe, as he was reported to be in talks with Morrocan giants, Wydad Athletic Club over a possible deal.
In his place, Nabi roped in Firas Zghal to oversee the fitness of the players during the tour and probably beyond that, depending on Saif’s deal to Wydad AC going through.
However, less than a week after returning to the country, Zghal has left the club, as Saif is back to resume his duties as the club’s Strength and Conditioning coach.
Meanwhile, the club is expected to sign more players before the window closes, after Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung promised fans more signings during the unveiling of the 2025-2026 home and away jerseys.
Cape Town Spurs duo Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartman as well Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Godspower Ighodaro are some of the names the club is expected to announce.
