Mamelodi Sundowns star attacker Lucas Ribeiro Costa reacts on his side’s Betway Premiership victory over Marumo Gallants.

Ribeiro has been one of the standout players this season in the top flight of South African football alongside Orlando Pirates starlet Relebohile Mofokeng, and on Wednesday night, he again stepped up for the Brazilians.

His man of the match perfomance saw the league leaders convincingly brush aside a very game Gallants side 3-1.
After goals from Marcelo Allende, Iqraam Rayners and Ribeiro himself in the second half, cancelled the first-half strike for the hosts from Sede Junior Dion.
While the victory opens up a 12 points gap over Pirates at the top of the league table, having played three more games, Ribeiro’s goal see him register his 10th league goal of the season to go with his six assists.
Something the player acknowledged during his post-match Man of the Match interview with SuperSport TV while also showing the importance of the victory.
“I am very happy for the 10th goal, but the most important thing for today is the three points,” Ribeiro told SuperSport TV.
The Brazilian born attacker also touched on how his side stuck to the task at hand despite conceding first.
“The game was not easy it was a very difficult game, but the team started very good,” Ribeiro added.
“After the goal, we stayed very strong (and) it was not easy, (but) they reaction is very good.
“I am very happy with my team today, and the most important thing is the three points today.”
