Mamelodi Sundowns appoints former Santos FC, Chippa United, and Stellenbosch FC player as the club’s new head coach.

After another good season in the Gauteng Development League under-19 division this past year which saw the Brazilians finish inside the top five in the division, Sundowns has decided to ring changes to their technical team in the top division of the Gauteng Development League.
Kristopher Bergman, who is a former professional football player, having played for clubs like Santos, Chippa United, and Stellenbosch FC, has been named as the club’s new under-19 head coach.
The former Ubuntu FC head coach becomes the latest highly rated development coach in the country to join the Masandawana family.
The division was previously coached by the former club’s legendary attacking middlefielder Surprise Moriri.
Bergman is expected to continue the club’s success in the division and promote players to the club’s reserve team in the Dstv Diski Challenge which the club has managed to do since the DDC started back in 2014.
The likes of Siyabonga Mabena, Malibongwe Khoza, and Siphelele Mkhulise, who are part of the club’s first team, were also part of the under-19 side during some part in their careers at the club.
