Kaizer Chiefs’ first assistant, Fernando Da Cruz, is staying at the club despite a lucrative offer from AS FAR Rabat.

The Frenchman is reported to have received an enticing offer from Rabat to fill the vacant head coach job left by Nasreddine Nabi when he joined Amakhosi.

Da Cruz is said to be in conversation with the Moroccan club over the possibility of him becoming the club’s next head coach, but Rabat is not willing to pay a compensation fee.
Meanwhile, Chiefs has no intention of letting Da Cruz leave the club, let alone for free, as they see him as an important part alongside Nabi to rebuilding and changing the club’s fortunes according to one of the leading African journalists, Micky Jnr.
“Kaizer Chiefs have 𝐍𝐎 intentions to let Fernando Da Cruz leave the Club. They want him to say and be committed to the project together with Nabi and his staff,” Micky stated on X.
However, he still remains Rabat’s prime target for the vacant head coach’s job, but the Glamour Boys are adamant that the 2023-2024 Botola runners-up should pay a compensation fee if they want to get their man.
“FUS Rabat still sees Da Cruz as a priority target for their head coach position,” Micky added.
“Pay the compensation and get your man or not. He stays! Case closed.”
