Wydad Athletic Club head coach Rulani Mokwena is looking to sign three former Mamelodi Sundowns players ahead of the 2024-2025 Botola Pro season.

Ever since joining Wydad AC earlier last month, Mokwena has made up to 13 signings and looks to be set to continue spending and signing of new players set to continue ahead of the new season in Morocco.

Among the players that the 37-year-old tactician is eyeing are three players he worked with at Sundowns.

Toronto FC attacker Cassius Mailula, Al Ahly SC star attacker, Percy Tau, and Bongani Zungu(free agent) are linked with moves to Casablanca.

Mailula is expected to join ahead of the upcoming season after the latter rejected a loan stint to a European club, HNK Gorica, according to FarPost.

He is likely to be joined by Zungu, whom in the last few days, Mokoena has reiterated his desire to have the signature of the 31-year-old middlefielder.

Meanwhile, Tau, whose contract in Egypt expires at the end of next season, has been heavily linked with an exit from the club thus window.

Mokwena led side, Wydad is said to be among clubs that are interested in landing the South African international ahead of the new season.
