Royal AM is kicked out of the 2025 Nedbank Cup due to the club’s failure to honour their round of 32 clash.

The KZN-based club was pitted against the Motsepe Foundation Championship club, Milford United, in the round of 32, but failed to fulfil the fixture due to off-field problems.

The club owner and president, Shauwn Mkhize, is owing the South African Revenue Services(SARS) a sum of R40 million rands of unpaid taxes, which sees the club on the brink of being sold.
Their failure to honour the fixture has seen Milford and Sekhukhune United waiting for a single and two rounds, respectively, to see who will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarterfinals.
However, they don’t have to wait any longer, as Royal AM has been kicked out of the tournament, which will see Sekhukhune United travel to Durban, this upcoming Sunday to play the round of 16 clash against Milford.
Meanwhile, Royal AM is said to be on the brink to be sold at an auction, with the starting price set to be R15 million.
