Orlando Pirates is believed to be set to go in again for former Kaizer Chiefs trialist after failing to sign ahead of the current season.

Having earlier this season tried to force a move away from Stellenbosch FC amid interest from Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Orlando Pirates, Ismael Toure is set to be among the most sought out players in the country when the current season ends.

According to Soccer Laduma, Pirates is among the clubs that will look to renew their interest in signing Ivorian central defender.
The Buccaneers’ troubles in defence and injuries are forcing the club to look to add new faces to their defence, and Toure is seen as the prime target.
“He still on the club’s radar, and it is just a matter of when the club will be taking the interest forward by making a formal offer,” the publication states.
“If you look around the league, you will notice that he is one of the reliable and consistent defenders, and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed as interest in his services is growing.”
Meanwhile, Pirates still continues to be at odds with star attacker Monnapule Saleng, who is currently contracted with the club until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
This comes after the club decided to exercise an option to extend his contract for a further two years, while Saleng is expected to hand in a transfer request.
