Orlando Pirates is understood to be working on signing Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns starlet, as the Sea Robbers look to reinforce their defence.

With loss of form and injuries to central defenders this season derailing the Buccaneers’ quest to dethrone Sundowns as South African top-tier league kings, the club is expected to add to the position ahead of next season.

One of the players the club is said to be working to bring in is Stellenbosch FC and ex-Mamelodi Sundowns starlet, Thabo Moloisane.
According to Soccer Laduma, Pirates is an advanced stage of trying to sign the 26-year-old central defender.
“As far as defenders are concerned, Pirates’ main target is Thabo, and that’s why they are set to table an offer for him,” the publication reports.
“They are looking at strengthening the central defence, as they are looking at having a strong backline next season where they will compete in almost every competition, including the CAF Champions League.
“He is playing in Africa with Stellenbosch, and Pirates are looking at that as an advantage to sign him.”
Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are understood to be looking at Moloisane’s partner in the central defence of Stellies, Ismael Toure, whom he was heavily linked with a move to the black and white side of Soweto.
