The clash between town rivals was a top of the table encounter, as the Brazilians Ladies went into the clash holding a one point over at TUKS Ladies having accumulated 32 points on top of Hollywoodbets Super League table after 14 matches two less matches than their opponents.

Banyana style dictated the match from kick-off, coming close on multiple occasions before Banyana Banyana diminutive attacker Noxolo Cesane gave Masandawana the lead in the 8th minute.

After a continuous wave of attack, Sundowns doubled their lead on the verge of halftime, as Lesotho international Boitumelo Rabale gave herself a perfect birthday gift with a calm finish to give the hosts a 2-0 lead at the break.

Despite coming close on multiple occasions in the second, the two sides failed to bother the Scoresheet, as the match ended 2-0 in favour Sundowns.

The victory see Sundowns move to 35 points after 15 matches, four points above their opponents in second having played two less games.
