Mamelodi Sundowns starlet Siyabonga Mabena sends a special message to Orlando Pirates starlet Relebohile Mofokeng after he was named in Bafana Bafana World Cup qualifiers preliminary squad.

Bafana’s head coach, Hugo Broos, named his 36-men preliminary squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers Group C matches against Nigeria and Zimbabwe, respectively.

In his squad, he named on-form Pirates teenage sensation, Mofokeng, after the 19-year-old’s performance forced the coach’s hand, having left him out in his last squad selection.
Mofokeng’s selection was met with positive feedback from the entire football fraternity, including his peers and future South African football star like Sundowns’ attacking middlefielder, Mabena.
The explosive winger took to his Instagram story, @mabena_siyabonga, to congratulate Mofokeng on his selection.
“Happy for you ngwana mam Maria,” the Sundowns star wrote on his story.
Meanwhile, South Africa will travel to Nigeria to take on the Super Eagles on the 7th of June before playing Zimbabwe at home four days later kick off of the matches are set for 9 pm and 6 pm respectively.

But before that, Broos will have to trim his squad to 26, with Mofokeng hopeful of making the final cut.
