Kaizer Chiefs starlet joins a Major Soccer League side after a successful trial stint earlier this year.

Having joined the Amakhosi family back in 2023 from a fellow Gauteng Development League(GDL) side Panaroma FC, the youngster was part of the Chiefs’ under-13 side that won a treble that season.
His impressive displays earned him a promotion to the under-15 side the following year/season, which ultimately led to him having to travel to the United States of America back in March this year for a three-day trials at MLS Next(MLS Youth League) side Charlotte Academy.
Chukwu, as he is known in the football fraternity, quickly impressed the club and ultimately sealed his move from Amakhosi to the MLS Next side.
Chiefs took to its junior side’s Instagram account, Kaizer Chiefs youth, to announce the move.
“Chukwudi Luvuno has officially joined Charlotte Academy in the United States representing Charlotte Academy U16 and U17 in the MLS Next(the youth development league of the Major Soccer League),” the club stated.
“Chukwu continues to make us proud on (the) International soil. Well done Chukwu keep on flying the flag high.”
