Kaizer Chiefs is believed to be looking to in for outcasted Mamelodi Sundowns star, as the club continues to rebuild their squad for next season.

Amakhosi’s search for a striker over the last few seasons is well documented, as the club has struggled to find a forward that will bang in goals since Samir Nurkovic’s maiden season in South African football back in 2019/2020 season.
With Nasreddine Nabi breaking the club’s 10-year trophyless run after winning the Nedbank Cup in the recently ended season, the club is looking to back the Tunisian tactician with a quality squad to compete for major trophies next season.
According to Soccer Laduma, one of the players the club is looking to sign is Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro.
The publication reports that Chiefs has inquired about the availability of the 23-year-old forward who was out on loan for the fourth time since joining Sundowns ahead of 2020/2021 season.
However, the Naturena-based club will face challenges for the Nigerian, as the player prefers to stay at his parent club and fight for his place, while European and Gulf region club’s are also interested in the player.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs is also said to have pulled out of the race to sign Simba SC striker Denis Kibu after the Tanzanian giants rejected a +R3 000 000 offer from the Soweto giants.
