Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. breaks his silence on the starlet Steven “Stevie G” Mendes’ move to Europe.

The youngster had a successful trial stint with Swedish club Hammarby IF earlier this month, which led to the Swedish first division club signing him.

After just two years at Naturena, Mendes will now ply his trade at the club that is co-owned by former FC Barcelona, Manchester United, and AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
After sealing the impressive move to Europe, Amakhosi’s Sporting Director, Motaung Jr. shared his thoughts about the 16-year-old attacker on the club’s website.
“Steven is a player with tremendous potential and the type of temperament to make it as a professional footballer, so we are excited at the prospect of him displaying his unique qualities on the European stage, said the Amakhosi Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jnr.
