Kaizer Chiefs suffers another injury blow ahead of the 2024-2025 Betway Premiership, as the club’s injury list keeps on growing.

One of the few things that has derailed Chiefs’ quest to return glory days back to Naturena over the last nine seasons has been injuries to key players at the key times.

Heading into the 2024-2025 Betway Premiership season, Amakhosi is set to go into the campaign without a number of players due to injuries.
The likes of Edmilson Dove, Bongani Sam, George Matlou, Tebogo Potsane, and Mduduzi Mdantsane are expected to miss the start of the new season due to injuries.
However, according to FarPost, the ever growing injury list has added another name, as the publication states that Chiefs sufferes another injury blow, as shot-stopper Brandon Petersen is set to miss the start of the new season due to a finger injury.
“Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen has been sidelined due to a finger injury, casting a shadow over the start of the Betway Premiership season for the Amakhosi,” the publication wrote.
“The exact nature of the injury remains unclear, but it occurred during pre-season training and has kept Petersen sidelined in recent matches.”

In his absence, the trio of Bontle Molefe, Bruce Bvuma, and new signing Fiacre Ntwari are expected to fight for the number one spot.
However, Ntwari is expected to beat Bvuma and Molefe to the number one spot.
