Amakhosi has already added four players to their squad ahead of the new season, namely, Fiacre Ntwari from TS Galaxy FC, Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates, Gaston Sirino on a free transfer after he left Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of last season, and Rushwin Dortley from Spurs.

With the club and news head coach Nasreddine Nabi far from closing the cheque book, Chiefs is said to be looking to raid Spurs for more players according to  The South African.

The publication reports that the Naturena-based club is looking at signing Asanele Velebayi and Ashley Cupido ahead of the new season.

“They’re not expected to stop there with regards to attackers. However, as Cape Town Spurs’ Asanele Velebayi is of interest. Furthermore, Amakhosi is also thought to have an interest in striker Ashley Cupido,” The South African reported.

However, Chiefs will have to dig deeper into the pockets, as the Urban Warriors are not willing to partways with their players cheap.
