Zakhele Lepasa is still an Orlando Pirates player despite SAFA’s latest Bafana Bafana squad stating that he is not attached to the club anymore.

Lepasa missed the entire last season due to a knee injury he suffered during the 2023-2024 season and was expected to return to action this upcoming season.
However, the 28-year-old striker is set to return to action away from a place he has called home for more than 10 years, as he looks to have parted ways with the club.
He was named among a string 23-Men squad that will represent South African in next month’s CAF African Nations Championship.
However, his name on the list appeared with unattached next to it, suggesting that Lepasa is not attached to any club, making him a free agent.
With Pirates not releasing a statement on several players that have left the club this window, the club’s silence on Lepasa doesn’t come as a shock.
However, despite all of that, Lepasa was among the Pirates players and management that welcomed guests, which included Vennetius Motswi(Papa) and many others to premiere of the club’s documentary, Giants which will air this upcoming Sunday.
