When Mamelodi Sundowns central defender Mothobi Mvala will return from injury, it is revealed.

Mvala has been out with an injury since the 7th of December 2024 during a CAF Champions League Group B match against AS FAR after he landed awkwardly in the 24th minute, challenging for the ball.
The 30-year-old has since been out, and he is likely to return to action after the international break due according to his agent, Andrews Matjila.

Speaking to FarPost, Matjila revealed that the former now-defunct Highlands Park versatile player is less than a month to return to full action after missing more than three months of action.
“He was playing in the CAF Champions League, and during the game, he landed awkwardly and injured his knee,” Matjila told FarPost.
“It was a bit of a setback, especially since he was returning from a previous injury.
“The hardest part for him has been being away from the field. Mothobi is a fighter, and he wants to be out there fighting with the team.
“It’s frustrating for him to be on the sidelines, but he trusts his teammates and believes in the team’s strength.
“The recovery process has been going well, and he’s recovered about 90%. We could be seeing him back on the field in the next two or three weeks.”
