Bernard Parker, the veteran striker of TS Galaxy, has broken his silence after undergoing a successful surgery for his leg injury.

Parker suffered a horrific tackle from Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu in the Carling Knockout Cup round of 16 clash on Wednesday, which resulted in a red card for Zungu and a possible career-ending injury for Parker.

Parker’s message of gratitude

Parker posted a video message on his social media accounts on Wednesday, thanking his fans, family, teammates, and club for their support and love.

He also congratulated his captain, Mlungisi Mbunjana, for his man of the match performance and leading the team to a penalty shootout victory over Sundowns.

“Hi guys, the surgery was a success. Thank you so much for your love and support, especially from my family. I love you guys,” Parker said.

“Mr Tim Sukazi and the TS Galaxy family, the coaches, and the management thank you so much for the support.

“My captain well done on your man of the match performance and getting us to the next round as a team.

“Everybody that has sent messages, especially from the other soccer clubs, thank you so much.

“Our supporters, my supporters, thank you so much for well wishes and all the love you have showing, I really appreciate you.
