Orlando Pirates star striker Tshegofatso Mabasa sends warning shots to Betway Premiership leading goalscorer Lucas Ribeiro Costa.

Mabasa has been struggling in front of goals in the league this season, having only registered five goals in 17 matches, leaving him eight goals behind Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Ribeiro.
With Pirates left with 11 matches in the league this season compared to Sundowns’ seventh, the 28-year-old striker refuses to give up on the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot he won last season.
The former now-defunct Bloemfontein Celtic player sees himself scoring 18 goals in the league and finishing above everyone in the race and retaining the award he won last season.

“I see myself finishing first. 18 goals in the league, that’s my target, and I think I will achieve it come end of the season in the league,” Mabasa stated.
“I think it’s based on the chances I have received so far in games up until this point in the season.
“It hasn’t been that many, and it’s also based on how teams defend, particularly when I am on the field.
“How centerbacks behave, there is a lot of things that I’ve picked up during the season during games in many different games as well, so, yeah, it’s based on stats.”
Meanwhile, the South African international landed a lucrative endorsement deal with American sportswear brand Under Armour.
He becomes Pirates’ second player in two months to land an endorsement deal after Mohau Nkota joined Nike last month.
