Three Mamelodi Sundowns have handed in transfer requests as the club’s squad overhaul continues.

Heading to the end of last season, the club already indicated through their head coach Miguel Cardoso that they will have a massive squad overhaul at the club aiming to cut down the club’s bloated squad.
However, the club didn’t anticipate having the transfer dispute they are having with some of their top players, as they are looking to leave the club.
Peter Shalulile, Kutlwano Letlhaku, and Khuliso Mudau are looking to follow Lucas Ribeiro Costa out of the club after handing in transfer requests this transfer window.
Despite the club publicly stating on various times that any player is allowed to leave if they receive the fee the club requires for their services, the trio are still at the club after multiple offers for them were rejected.
1. Peter Shalulile
The Namibian international first requested to leave the club in January this year after learning that he will have limited playing time at the club.
His request to leave tumbled to the end of the season after he failed to leave due to multiple offers for him being rejected.
Despite all the ups and downs, Shalulile is about to join the Tunisian side, Esperance Sportive de Tunis, despite returning to training on Thursday.
Shasha is in a dispute with the club after Sundowns reportedly rejected an R13 million bid for him, citing that the offer is R3 million short from the asking price.
2. Khuliso Mudau
Ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Mudau’s agent, Steve Kapeluschnick, revealed that the two parties are far from finding each other when it comes to a new contract, as talks were put on hold.
Upon returning to training to prepare for the new season after Sundowns triggered a one-year extension, Mudau handed in a transfer request after the club rejected multiple offers for his services despite the contract not progressing.
Mudau has since decided to go awol to force the club’s hand, and with less than a year left on his contract, the club will likely sell or give him the contract he is demanding.
3. Kutlwano Letlhaku
According to the 19-year-old’s agency director, Matthew Moore, per Idiski Times, the youngster has decided to hand in a transfer request after a big club from Portugal put in an offer for services.
With the player looking to test himself in Europe and having already been denied three opportunities before(two in January and one last week), the youngster has formally written a transfer request to the club.
However, he is unlikely to leave as the club has just sold Ribeiro to Qatari based-club Qatar FC, and he is seen as a replacement for the Brazilian.
