Mamelodi Sundowns star midfielder Teboho Mokoena is likely to miss the club’s next match against Esperance de Tunis in the CAF Champions League semifinal first leg.

During the Brazilians’ last match against Moroka Swallows in the Dstv Premiership, Sundowns was forced into an early substitution.

The club’s captain on the day, Mokoena, pulled what looked like a muscle in his right leg while scoring his trademark thunder strike that left Daniel Akpeyi in Swallows goals with no chance.

Bafana Bafana star quickly called for a substitution and was replaced by Sipho Mbule late in the first half.

Doubtful Participation in Upcoming Matches

Our sources reveal that the former Supersport United man is likely to miss Masandawana’s crucial CAF Champions League semifinal first leg away at Tunisia.

The 27-year-old is said to be a doubt for the match at Stade Olympique Hammandi Agrebi this upcoming Saturday.

But he is more likely to feature in the return leg  on Friday, the 26th of April, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
