Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club will play Kaizer Chiefs Football Club this upcoming Sunday.

The heavyweights of South African football will meet in the much-anticipated first match of this season’s Gauteng Development League(GDL).

They will meet at Clapham High School in Pretoria this Sunday the 14th of May.

They go into the matches looking to continue their title push in all four divisions.

As they are among the favourites to end the season as champions in all four divisions.

Chiefs’ under-13 side will look to extend their lead at the top of the table to six points over second-place TS Galaxy.

And seven points over their opponents who have three games in hand.

While in the under-15 division, Chiefs find themselves first with 22 points after 10 games.

12 points above the Brazilians that have three games in hand.

In the under-17 division, Sundowns find themselves in the second spot with 21 points after nine matches.

Just three points above Chiefs in the fourth position.

The under-19s will take to the field knowing that the winner of the match will end the weekend at the top of the table.

Currently, Sundowns lead the standing with 25 points after nine matches, one point above Chiefs who have played a game more.
