Mamelodi Sundowns have expressed their deepest condolences to Wydad Athletic Club after the death of their defender Oussama Falouh.

Falouh passed away after a car accident that left him in hospital for almost a month.

Condolence Message

The Brazilians, who are in Morocco to face Wydad in the first leg of the African Football League final, shared a heartfelt message on their social media platforms.

They said they were deeply saddened by the loss of a promising talent and prayed for his family, friends, and club.

The message read: “The Chairman and the Motsepe Family, the Board of Directors, Technical Team, Players, Management, Staff, Supporters of Mamelodi Sundowns FC & the entire Yellow Nation express their deepest condolences to the family and friends as we mourn the loss of Wydad Athletic Club defender, Oussama Falouh.

We pray that the Almighty comforts and strengthens the Falouh family, his friends, Wydad Athletic Club management and supporters.

It’s deeply heartbreaking to lose a promising talent like that of Oussama Falouh and our thoughts are with his loved ones at this trying time.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Final Showdown: Sundowns Vs Wydad AC 

The two sides are set to clash at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca on Sunday, the 5th of November, in the first leg of the AFL final.

The match will kick off at 8 pm South African time.

The return leg has been moved from 11th to the 12th of November and will be played at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
