Stellenbosch Football Club star reportedly having doubts about moving to Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club.
After the conclusion of the 2022/2023 season, Mamelodi Sundowns showed interest in Stellenbosch Football Club stars Olwethu Makhanya and Junior Mendieta.
The latter has since joined the Brazilians on a reported 4-year deal for a fee reported to be around R10 million.
However, the Dstv Premiership champions seem to have hit a road block in the puirsuit of Makhanya.

According to Goal SA journalist Austin Ditlhobolo, Makhanya is not keen on joining the Brazilians.
Because the club will not guarantee him a regular playing time.
The 19-year-old is looking to continue his perfect start to first-team football at Stellies.
He played 24 games and scoring one goal in all competitions last season.
He is contracted to the Cape-based club until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
With the club having an option to extend his stay for a further two years.

However, Sundowns’ arch-rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, could be the reason behind his hesitations of moving to Chlorkoop.
He earlier this year discussed his love for Amakhosi.
Having failed to move to the club earlier on in his career.
He is likely to look for a move to Nturena in the near future.
But Sundowns will not give up their pursuit for the South African youth international.
