Former Kaizer Chiefs versatile defender Siyabonga Ngezana costs his new club FCSB a win in his debut match.

After weeks of being stuck in South Africa due to visa application challenges completes a move to FCSB.

The former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs player completed his reported R12 million move from Amakhosi to Romanian giants, FCSB.

The 26-year-old signed a five-deal with the UEFA Conference League bound side.

Seeing Ngezana stay at club until the 2027/2028 season.

However, his life at FCSB started badly for the South African youth international.

The 21-year-old calmly slotted the ball past the helpess FCSB goalkeeper, Andrei Vlad, to make the score one-all.


FCSB’s head coach(manager) Elias Charalambous came to the defence of the former Chiefs star.

“Ngezana is new here. You shouldn’t judge him on that one moment where he slipped before PAOK’s goal,” Charalambous said.

“Such things happen, we are trying to help him integrate as quickly as possible into the club’s philosophy.”

The 26-year-old will have to quickly learn, as the Romanian top-tier league is set to start in a few weeks’ time.
