Siyabonga Ngezana and his side FCSB are out of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League campaign after a Qualification second round defeat to KF Shkedija.

Ngezana and co welcomed the North Macedonian team to the National Arena in Bucharest, Romania, on Wednesday evening at the back of a 1-0 defeat to the same side a week ago in North Macedonia.
The home side started the match on the front foot and took the lead in the 29th minute through Italian middlefielder Juri Cisotti to only lose the lead on the night five minutes later.
The visitors struck through Liridon Lafiti to take two sides to break all square on the night, but the visitors leading 2-1 on aggregate.
With the tie favouring the visitors, FCSB threw all they had at the visitors, but to no avail, before Shkendija book their spot into the third round of the Qualification rounds with an 87th minute winner through Vane Krstevski to hand the away side a 3-1 victory on aggregate.
While Shkendija will face Azerbaijan giants, Karabakh, on the 5th of August with the return leg the following week, FCSB is demoted into the UEFA Europa League.
The former Kaizer Chiefs central defender and his side will now take on Albanian club, FC Drita, in the third Qualification round on the 8th of August with the return leg the following week.
