Motaung family is accused of money laundering after appointing Molefi Ntseki as senior team Head Coach.

Kaizer Chiefs Football Club’s hierarchy, the Motaung family.

The Motaung family has been running one of the most successful clubs in South Africa, if not Africa, for well over 53 years.

The club was formed back on the 7th of January 1970 by the current club’s executive chairman and owner, Dr Kaizer Motaung Sr.

Despite dominating South African football since being formed in the 70s, the club has struggled to live up to their rich history lately.

Amakhosi are currently in their ninth year without lifting a silverware, damaging the club’s image of being the most successful club in South African football history.

The club’s inability to lift a trophy in the 8-plus years has seen a number of coaching changes at the club.

In the last four seasons, there has been a new coach at the start of every season, and the trend is set to continue heading into the new season.

Head of Technical Team Molefi Ntseki replaces Arthur Zwane as senior head coach, and the latter returns to his former post as an assistant coach alongside Dillion Sheppard.

However, the recent coaching changes see the Motaungs being accused of a crime.

A tweep by the name StakatanaSaVaal accused the Motaung family of using the Kaizer Chiefs to launder money because they are no longer serious about the club.

He further went on to call for the Special Investigating Unit(SIU) to look into the matter.

“SIU must investigate the Motaung family, I think they are using Kaizer Chiefs for money laundering bcz[because] they are no longer serious about that club,” SkatanaSaVaal said.

I’m a Pirate fan but i love chiefs as well but not in favour of the way it is managed. Changing coaches time and again like chippa United will cause serious challenges for the club. What about giving Arthur another chance to start where he ended up. Should their expectations not materialise this coming season they are going to appoint a new coach again, I’m afraid.
