Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has explained the reason behind his tears after AFL Final.

Mokwena continues to break records in the history of South African football ever since becoming a coach.

The 36 years old head coach continues to be the youngest coach to win several trophies in SA and Africa as a whole.

After winning the African Football League, Rulani broke down into tears of joy as he could not calm down from the excitement.

” That was difficult to watch. I didn’t realise that we had so much supporters.

“This is a very special group. I was happy to see that group happy and a group that deserves to witness happiness.

“I was happy that I could be part of the team and make contributions to the club.

“Special people and special people deserves to win special trophies.

“And all glory to God that helped us to achieve such an important trophy for the club,” he concludes.

Sundowns Current head coach has won several trophies with Sundowns ever since becoming the head coach.

This includes CAF Champions League and DStv Premier league and MTN 8.

They are still yet to win more trophies as they continue to play a beautiful football.

He has started his professional career in 2007 as an assistant of Steve Komphela at Platinum Stars.

He then went to Sundowns as an assistant in 2011 and switch to head coach in 2012.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, he was dismissed by Sundowns in 2017 then joined Orlando Pirates.

He also became a caretaker manager and coach assistant in Orlando Pirates.

He also joined Chippa United before reunion with Sundowns In 2020.
