Royal AM Boss Shauwn Mkhize is alleged to be opened to selling the club amid financial crisis.

Royal AM boss Shauwn Mkhize is facing a huge financial challenge as she and her club owe the South African Revenue Service (SARS) a whopping R37 million for unpaid taxes.

The debt is alleged to also include her estranged husband Sibusiso Mpisane, as the two are allegedly still legally married.

Nurkovic Saga

Another headache for Mkhize is the case of former striker Samir Nurkovic, who left the club last season after his contract was terminated.

The Serbian forward claimed that he was not paid his salaries and bonuses, and took the matter to FIFA.

The world football governing body ruled in his favour and ordered Royal AM to pay him R12 million, or face a transfer ban until they do so.

Players’ Signing On Fees

To make matters worse, Royal AM is also alleged to be owing some of their players signing on fees of around R4 million.

The players are said to be unhappy with the situation and have threatened to take legal action against the club if they are not paid soon.

This could affect the morale and performance of the team, which is currently in the first tier of South African football.

Possible Sale Of The Club

With all these financial problems, MaMkhize is said to be considering selling the club if she gets a good offer.

The business guru, who is also a reality TV star, bought the club in 2021 and renamed it after her son Andile Mpisane, who is also a player and a chairman of the club.

However, she may have to cut her losses and let go of her dream of owning a successful football club.
