Chivaviro is reported to have signed a two-year pre-contract with Richards Bay back in February.

Gallants failed to trigger an option to extend his one-year contract with the club before the player could be eligible to discuss a potential transfer with any club.

With the player on top form, the club triggered an option to extend for a further in May three months after he signed with Richards Bay.

Multiple reports around the country reported that Amakhosi have signed the 29-year-old on a two-year deal.

The Limpopo-based club confirmed the sale of Chivariro to Chiefs yesterday through their various social media accounts.

Something that left Richards Bay owner and boss Jomo Biyela confused.

Having earlier last month stated that Chivaviro belongs to them, and whomever wants him should buy him from them.

He reiterated his statement, saying that Ranga Chivaviro belongs to us”.

He is surprised by the player being announced as Chiefs player by his former club.

Meanwhile, the player and his agent, Herve Tra Bi, insist that the player belongs to Marumo Gallants.

As such, the club has the power to sell him.

Should the issue not be resolved between the three clubs, Chivaviro could find himself in hot water.

As no player is allowed to sign three contracts in a single campaign, he could face a suspension.
