Komphela joined Swallows Football Club as the club’s new head coach after spending three seasons at Chlorkoop.

The departure of the former Kaizer Chiefs Football Club head coach plays right in the hands of Sundowns’ head coach Mokwena.

Mokwena requested to make changes in his technical team before signing a new four-year deal with the club.

One of the changes he requested was making the club’s set play coach, Michael Loftman, his second in command.

The club at the time turned down and insisted on keeping their technical team as it is.

But after the departure of Komphela, Mokwena is likely to get his wish and see his former colleague at Pirates become his assistant coach.

However, the club’s management could look to promote Manqoba Mnqgithi from his position as senior coach to the vacant first team coach position.

But his relationship with Mokwena may see Loftman given the role over him.
