Two of the handful matches they played were against international clubs, Young Africans, and Township Rollers.
They lost both matches 1-0, but the highlights of those matches were the unavailability of their new striker, Ranga Chivaviro.
The 30-year-old missed both televised matches and is in doubt for the club’s opening league fixture.
RANGA CHIVAVIRO TO MISS LEAGUE OPENER?
Speaking to South Africa’s TV broadcast, Supersport Chiefs’ new head coach, Molefi Ntseki explained Ranga Chivaviro’s absence.
“Ranga came in with a bit of medical issue and I think he is recovering very well,” Ntseki said.
“We are happy to see his recovery, and we felt it’s not necessary for us to risk him in this game.
“I think he is looking forward to the first game wearing a Kaizer Chiefs colours.”
However, the former Marumo Gallants striker is facing race against time to be fit for Chiefs’ league opener.
Keagan Dolly, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Edmilson Dove, and Ashley Du Preez are also in the race against the time.
The latter may miss the match despite featuring in the last ten minutes against Rollers.
