Among the six new signings, it was former Golden Arrows star Pule Mmodi.

He joined the club on a three-year deal on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract at Arrows

However, the 30-year-old is set to face a problem for moving to the Naturena-based club without the knowledge of his then agent, Solomon Seobe.

According to Seobe, Mmodi sealed a move to Chiefs with another agent while still contracted to him, as his deal with the player expired on the 30th last month.

He further accused the player of lying to him of saying that he sealed a move to Chiefs on his own while he had a representative with him.

Breaching the contract he had with the agent.

“We all know PSL contracts come into effect on the 1st of July, and he signed he signed for Chiefs in June,” said Solomon Seobe to the Citizen

“They were waiting for the contract with Golden Arrows to end for the Chiefs contract to kick in.”

“He lied to me when he said he was alone, only for me to find out that he was with another agent called Parable Hlatshwayo whom I don’t know.”

“I’ve been waiting for Pule to show me his contract[copy] and he has been saying he will give it[to me] when he gets it from Chiefs and I’ve waiting since last week.”

“Immediately when you sign, you should get a copy of the contract even though the team hasn’t announced yet, so he keeps postponing.”

Seobe says he is not going to let the issue go after finding out that Mmodi lied to him.

“I was going to let this go, but not after I found out that he was represented while he told me that he signed to Chiefs without an agent.”

“It is betrayal of the highest order because our contract ended in June last week. When I get a copy of the contract, I will know how much to sue for.”

He further went on to say that he wants to set an example to other players that you don’t betray your agents when you see promised land.

He is disappointed in the player after everything he did for him when he was unknown.

Mmodi promised to renew his contract with him but ghosted him until he heard that he was joining Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Mmodi’s new agent, Parable Hlatshwayo, admitted to have represented the player on his move to Chiefs.

But denied Seobe’s version of the story.

Saying that the player signed with Chiefs and him on the 1st of July 2023.

As he had to wait for both his contract at Arrows and with Seobe to expire on the 30th of June.

He also feels Mmodi is not forced to send Seobe the contract, as he is not his client anymore.
