PSL DC dock Kaizer Chiefs three points for fielding a suspended player against Maritzburg United.
Amakhosi forfeited their points against Maritzburg United after it was found that Puso Dithejane was suspended for that match.
The South African Youth International picked up his fourth yellow card of the season a game before United’s clash.
Despite winning the match 5-0 Chiefs is forced to relinquish the points and the club is also fined R10 000.
But the fine is suspended for 24 months given they do not repeat the same offence during this period, PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu confirmed.
The match will go down as a 3-0 victory for United who move two spots on the DDC log table to tenth with 35 points.
While Chiefs move down to fifth from fourth with 46 points after 29 matches.
Points deduction will not have an impact on both side.
As Chiefs are set to finish inside the top 8 and qualify for the top tournament.
While the Team of Choice will not have enough points to make the top 8 even with three points from Chiefs.
Both teams will close their season this upcoming weekend.
As Chiefs will play the league champions Supersport United, while Maritzburg United will play Royal AM.
