Premier Soccer League(PSL) clubs show interest in two Kaizer Chiefs players.
Chiefs reserve team stars in demand
The duo have been impressive for the Amakhosi development side in the Dstv Diski Challenge (DDC) this season.
Khumalo confirms interest
Khumalo confirmed that some PSL teams have approached Chiefs to enquire about the availability of Mdaka and Dithejane, who are both midfielders.
He said that the interested clubs want to play them in the top-flight, not in the reserve league.
“There are teams that want these boys and they want to play them in the Premiership, not even in the Diski,” Khumalo told IOL.
“After the match against Sundowns they spoke to us but I told them to do things the right way.
They have officially approached the club.
“If the team rejects them, that will mean that our dream of winning the Diski League will continue.
“If they agree, it will mean that we will start from the ground up to build a team.”
Transfer window looms
The next PSL transfer window will open in January 2024, which means that Mdaka and Dithejane could be on their way out of Naturena soon.
However, it is not clear whether Chiefs will be willing to let them go and what kind of deals they will offer.
The two youngsters signed long-term contracts with the club before the start of the current season and have been tipped for bright futures.
It is likely that Chiefs will only consider loan moves for them, as they would not want to lose their talents permanently.
