Orlando Pirates star middlefielder Makhehlene Makhaula is set to miss the final of the Nedbank Cup against Sekhukhune United.

Pirates Star Set To Miss
Orlando Pirates star middlefielder Makhehlene Makhaula.

Makhuala will miss the clash after picking up his fourth yellow card against his former club Amazulu FC during Pirates’s last match.

The robust middlefielder will serve his one match suspension against Sekhukhune, missing a chance to play in the final.

UNPLAYABLE confirmed the suspension of Makhaula through their Twitter account @UnplayableZA.

See the tweet below:

The 34-year-old joined Pirates back in January from Usuthu for free after the club released him six months before his contract could end.

However, the Buccaneers are not short of options in the middle of the park.

The likes of Miguel Timm, Thabang Monare, and Ben Motshwari will look to fill the void left by Makhaula’s suspension.

But Makhaula will miss a chance to win the club’s second trophy this season.

Having won the MTN8 trophy back in November against Makhaula and his former club Amazulu.

Pirates will take on Sekhukhune United at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria this Saturday.

The match will kick off at 6 pm Central African Time and will be shown live on both SABC 1 and Supersport PSL(202).
