Orlando Pirates is looking to recall star attacker after poor start to the league season.
Riveiro Unhappy With Poor Form
Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has expressed his dissatisfaction with the team’s performance in the DStv Premiership, where they have only managed to draw their last two games.
The Spaniard is worried about the state of the club in the league, as they are currently 13th on the table, 15 points behind leaders MamelodiSundowns.
Mabasa a top priority
Riveiro has asked the club management to make the return of Tshegofatso Mabasa a top priority, as he believes the striker can help the team improve their scoring rate.
Mabasa was loaned out to Moroka Swallows FC at the start of this campaign, a decision that Riveiro now regrets.
According to a source close to the club, Pirates management realised that letting Mabasa go was a huge mistake, and they are keen to have him back in January.
However, it will depend on the agreement they made with Swallows, who are enjoying a good run in their first season back in the top flight.

“You can see the guys are not doing their best, and when it’s like that you become worried.
“The coach is really serious about getting Mabasa back and he has told the guys at the top to deal with it as quickly as possible.
“What I can say is that he is the main priority at Pirates at the moment,” claimed the source.
