Orlando Pirates is understood to have dropped out of the race to sign an Al Hilal Omdurman and African starlet Adama Coulibaly after hefty price tag was placed on the player.

The Buccaneers were among the two African clubs that officially submitted an interest in the player, with the other club being Esperance Sportive de Tunis.
However, the Buccaneers have now officially pulled out of the race to sign the 19-year-old attacker after his side, Al Hilal placed a whooping 2 million US dollars, which equates to around 42 million South African rands.
However, the move by the Mauritanian giants have left the Malian international with frustration, as he is not happy and is looking for a move away from the club.
Coulibaly has gone as far as rejecting the club’s offer to extend his contract at the club, and he has been vocal on social media, hinting his frustrations and desire to leave the club.
Meanwhile, Pirates is said to have agreed a deal to sell Relebohile Mofokeng to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq for a fee of around R31 million, which could see the Sea Robbers go in for Coulibaly again.
