The 24-year-old attacker signed a three-year deal with an option for further two years when he joined the Buccaneers back in 2022 from Baroka FC.
His current contract is ending on the last day of June this year, and the Sea Robbers are about to extend his stay for a further two years, according to Soccer Laduma.
“Yes, it’s true the initial contract comes to an end in June this year, but he will be staying longer at the club,” the publication reports.
“There are 99% of South African player contracts and Evidence has a two-year option on his contract and the club has taken that option and that’s why he will stay longer at the club until at least 2027.
“So, he is still a Pirates player for two more years to come.”
Meanwhile, the lanky striker was omitted from the South African senior national team squad that will take on both Lesotho and Benin in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on the 21stand 25th of March 2025 respectively.
