Orlando Pirates Football Club starlet is reported to have attracted interest from overseas clubs.

The teenage sensation started 2022/2023 season with Orlando Pirates’ reserve team in Dstv Diski Challange, having joined the club before the start of the season.

He joined the Buccaneers from School of Excellence after Sports photographer, Vino Snap, spotted him and asked for a big team to give him a chance.

In his first season with the reserve team, he was promoted to senior less than a year at the Soweto based club.

Forcing a host of South African football lovers to notice his talent after breaking into the senior team.

Playing alongside his idol, Thembinkosi Lorch, Ratomo showed that he is ready for the big league(s).

Ratomo travelled to Spain with the first team earlier this month, and he is said to have attracted interest overseas.


The 18-year-old’s performances in Spain have attracted multiple scouts overseas.

Pirates is expected to receive offers from overseas clubs for the South African international.

But the club is unlikely to entertain the offers, as Ratomo is seen as the present and future of Pirates.

The youngster is expected to lead the attack alongside the likes of Monnapuleng Saleng and Lorch this upcoming season.

    We love Ratomo, he is a gem. Let us not lose sight of the fact that football is a business and Ratomo might be in it now for the love of the game but in a few seasons might see it as a living. Let’s allow him to reach for the skies, at that tender age, he has not learned most of the bad habits, he can be moulded into a workforce, a world beater and that is a wonderful thing for SA football.
