The teenage sensation started 2022/2023 season with Orlando Pirates’ reserve team in Dstv Diski Challange, having joined the club before the start of the season.

He joined the Buccaneers from School of Excellence after Sports photographer, Vino Snap, spotted him and asked for a big team to give him a chance.
In his first season with the reserve team, he was promoted to senior less than a year at the Soweto based club.
Forcing a host of South African football lovers to notice his talent after breaking into the senior team.
Playing alongside his idol, Thembinkosi Lorch, Ratomo showed that he is ready for the big league(s).

We love Ratomo, he is a gem. Let us not lose sight of the fact that football is a business and Ratomo might be in it now for the love of the game but in a few seasons might see it as a living. Let’s allow him to reach for the skies, at that tender age, he has not learned most of the bad habits, he can be moulded into a workforce, a world beater and that is a wonderful thing for SA football.
