The duo of Tapelo Xoki and Nkosinathi Sibisi had a fantastic season at heart of defence in their maiden season at the club.
The pair moved from both Amazulu FC and Golden Arrows to Pirates, respectively, before the start of the 2022/2023 season.

Despite a good season, the duo are not the most celebrated players at the club.
The likes of Monnapuleng Saleng, Relebohile Ratomo, and Terrence Dzukamanja celebrated more than them.

However, Sibisi received recognition in his home Municipality for his role in football and what he has done for the community.
The former Golden Arrows captain received a certificate of recognition, and a blazer made special for him from uMngeni Local Municipality in uMgungundlovu, KwaZulu-Natal province.
The 27-year-old will look to carry on his good start to Pirates life next season.
Try to add to his two trophies he has already won at the club.
Individual accolades like the one he received from uMngeni Local Municipality will motivate him to do even better going forward.
Knowing that he will be rewarded for his hard work both in the field of play and off it as well.
