Orlando Pirates players Makhehlene Makhaula, Nkosinathi Sibisi, and Patrick Maswanganyi react to the departure of striker Zakhele Lepasa from the club.

On Thursday afternoon, the South African Football Association(SAFA) announced a 23-men squad that will represent South Africa during the 2025 CHAN tournament.
The now former Pirates player, Lepasa, was named among the players that will represent the country next month.
However, in the image that SAFA shared with the public, the 28-year-old was announced as an unattached player, meaning he is no longer a Pirates player.
With rumours going around, less than 24 hours since the squad announcement, the Buccaneers issued a statement announcing the exit of the striker from the club.
His departure from the club left one his former teammate, Maswanganyi, with a broken heart, as the former now-defunct SuperSport United middlefielder reshaped the club’s post on his Instagram story with sad face and a broken heart emoji.
While Makhaula and Sibisi shared messages of encouragement and thanks to their former teammates.
“All the best, mfanaka. I will fight with who now? God bless,” Makhaula stated to Lepasa.
“Okuhle kodwa ngcolosi,” Sibisi told Lepasa.
