After an impressive 2022/2023 season that saw Orlando Pirates win two trophies, the club continues to build for the 2023/2024 season.

The club has so far signed more than 10 players while showing around the same number the exit doors.

While there have been movements at the club, the club is also looking to keep some of their players at the club beyond their current contracts.

Thembinkosi Lorch, Vincent Pule, Kabelo Dlamini, Ben Motshwari, and Siyabonga Mpontshane have all signed new deals at the club.

Despite tying down most of the club’s first team players, the club is set to offer one of their regular starters a contract extension.

ORLANDO PIRATES OFFER KERMIT ERASMUS CONTRACT EXTENSION?

According to Siya Crew(Soccer Laduma) sources, the club has offered Kermit Erasmus a contract extension.

“The talks are actually involving another two year deal,” the Siya Crew source said.

“I am not sure whether it is a one-year plus another one year option or straight two years, but I know it’s supposed to run until 2026.

“His current contract ends next year June, so they want keep him beyond that period.

“It’s the club who has initiated the talks, and I don’t think the player will have a problem with that.”

The 33-year-old rejoined Pirates on a two-year deal before the beginning of last season after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns.

In his first season back at the club, he helped Pirates to win two trophies, and he will be looking to do the same this season.
