The 21-year-old attracted interest from local and overseas clubs after a steady first season in the Dstv Premiership.

Late last month, Kimvuidi revealed that he prefers a move to Mamelodi Sundowns over both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

The three South African giants were interested in his services and faced a challenge from an unknown club in the MLS.

After months of speculations and clubs finding over the player, Pirates announced that they had reached an agreement with Maritzburg for his signature.

The Buccaneers are expected to seal the move in the next coming weeks before announcing the player.

He becomes the club’s second major signing this week, after Lesedi Kapinga signed  a hree-year deal with the club.

Meanwhile, Goodman Mosele is expected to make way for Kimvuidi.

The former Baroka FC middlefielder is expected to leave the club on loan ahead of the new season.
