Siyabonga Ngezana, the former Kaizer Chiefs defender, produced another solid performance as FCSB was held to a goalless draw at home by FC Voluntari in a Romanian SuperLiga encounter on Sunday night.
Ngezana, who joined FCSB in July 2023, was given ratings of 7.7 by Sofascore for his performance on the night.
He played the full 90 minutes and was part of a back four that kept a clean sheet against the visitors.
The 26-year-old South African international showed his defensive prowess by making one clearance, one block shot, three interceptions, and three tackles.
He also did not allow any of his opponents to dribble past him.
Ngezana was not only effective in defence but also contributed to his team’s attack.
He had 83 touches of the ball and completed 88.1% of his passes.
He also made one key pass that could have led to a goal.

He also won seven of the 11 duels he went into, showing his physical strength and aerial ability.
He only lost possession 10 times and committed a single foul.
With the point they got, FCSB extended their lead at the top of the table to four points with 30 points after 13 games.
They have played a game more than CFR Cluj, who are second with 26 points.
FCSB will hope to maintain their lead at the top of the table when they face Petrolul Ploirşti in their next match on October 28.
