Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi reacts to his team’s narrow 1-0 victory over Magesi FC at the Calabash.

Amakhosi went into their home match against the Limpopo-based club at the back of the back-to-back league defeats to two Pretoria based clubs(4-1 to SuperSport United and 1-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns).

Nabi’s men managed to sneak out a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from substitute Ashley Du Preez in the 69th minute, which left the under pressure Chiefs coach relieved.
“We knew that it was going to be a difficult game, Magesi are always difficult against big teams,” Nabi told SuperSport TV.
“We saw it in the Carling final against Pirates(Mamelodi Sundowns), and we knew it was gonna be a difficult game.
“And even for ourselves, the fact of having a lot of changes, the first line-up we struggled a little bit in the first half to get on the front foot, to get going but we were better in the second half.
“In this kind of game, what you need is three points and to get going.”
The win see Chiefs rise to eight on the league table with 28 points after 20 games.
While Stellenbosch FC edged Marumo Gallants in Bloemfontein thanks to the second half strike from Devin Titus.
The win sees Stellies move to third with 31 points after 19 matches.
