Kaizer Chiefs head Nasreddine Nabi reacts to his side heavy defeat in the hands of SuperSport United on Tuesday night at FNB Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg.

Chiefs went into the Tuesday encounter at the back of three unbeaten matches that saw the Phefeni Glamour Boys win the last two of the three matches.

However, with the odds favouring Amakhosi, Matsatsantsa a Pitori led by former Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic, produced their best performance of the season and brushed the home side aside with a humbling scoreline of 4-1.
A scoreline that left Chiefs’ tactician, Nabi, put the blame on insufficient time to recover after the Chippa United Clash this past Saturday.
“It was a very difficult game and very painful loss,” Nabi told Supersport TV.
“It was a game that we miss. Obviously, I am not gonna give excuses but there are excuses because obviously we only had two days for the players to recover and they played an exceptional match, but unfortunately, as I said, we can’t give excuses but there are excuses.
“When the body or the physical is not responding, then everything falls apart like a castle of cards.
“And yes, we have conceived on the fourth minute, and after 20 minutes, we still didn’t have a reply.
“And as I have mentioned, when the body is not right, then definitely nothing goes well.
“Especially the fact that the adversory had a week to recover and we only had two days, but it does not take away the fact that they had played a good game.
“It hurts. It’s really painful, but as I mentioned, when the physique is not well.
“We can see that we gifted them the first three goals. It was just giveaways.
“It happens. Also, it happens to big teams. You must not judge the team only on today’s performance.”
Nabi’s man will have enough rest until their next match, as they are expected to play their next match on the first of March away at Mamelodi Sundowns, as their weekend clash against Royal AM is expected to be postponed.
