Moroka Swallows Football Club is reportedly set to sign another Kaizer Chiefs Football Club target, Gabadhino Mhango.

Ahead of their league opener, Soweto giants continue to beef up their squad and prepare for the new season.

Since the appointment of Steve Komphela from Mamelodi Sundowns, the Dube Birds have acquired top players in the country.

Andile Jali, Dumisani Zuma, and Tshegofatso Mabasa are just some of the players Swallows has signed under Komphela.


Ahead of their league opener against Lamontville Golden Arrows, Swallows continues to be active in the squad.

The latest player likely to land in Birds’ nest is Amazulu FC star attacker Gabadinho Mhango.

The former Orlando Pirates and now-defunct Bidvest Wits player was spotted with Swallows head coach a few hours after Amazulu announced his departure.

According to our sources, he has signed a two-year deal with an option to extend for a further year with Swallows.

Malawian International is set to join Swallows after a failed move to Amakhosi after weeks of being linked with a move to the club.

He is set to be the second player Kaizer Chiefs lose to Swallows after Jali chose Swallows over the Naturena based club.

Swallows are hopeful of finalising his move before their season opener against Arrows later today(5th of August).
